Install Password Notification on one Windows computer or server. The desktop app and the notification service run together on that computer, and nothing is installed on users' computers.

The server does not need to be a domain controller.
Accounts and permissions

You need one of these to send notifications:
- SMTP server: a server that accepts mail from your From address.
- Microsoft 365: an app registration with the
Mail.Sendapplication permission.
